I really had to think of this was worth it, and it so is. I love knowing where my dog is, how active she is, her heart and respiratory rates. If you need this to monitor your dog Tractive is awesome and well worth it.

My friend said she did all the research and this was the most accurate one in case you lose your dog. It will show the exact location. Not only that, it's great how it measures their barking, heart beat and sleep / active minutes. I was slightly worried when we received a notification about a change in heart rate but we soon found out it was because of her new collar which was a lot loose. I also like that I can keep track of her walks, in case I need to remind someone to walk her if I'm not home and I can see it's not been done.
So much for health tracking? My dog's heart rate doubled over a span of 7 days and had other scattered days of very high heart rate. My dog died last night. I got no notification about it at all and support told me it's not a medical device instead of acknowledging the app failed to alert me to a TREND that their app says they do. I did not expect it to tell me about an emergency but if her resting heart rate kept escalating, explain to me how I wasn't alerted? What did I even pay for when your staff said nothing misfired?

Posted byOliviaon30th Aug 2026We live on a rural property with a dog that likes to chase rabbits. This tracker is very good with GPS and I’ve located our dog a few times with it. I would recommend using extra tape so the tracker doesn’t come off the collar as the rubber supplied with it isn’t strong enough if your dog jumps through fences but the app is very easy to use and I would recommend this product.
I love my tractive! It’s so handy for my puppy as it helps me plan his routines. Sleep Barking Respiratory Heart rate Scratching Activity Everything you need. I track all my walks and have set virtual fences so it lets me know when he’s entered and left safe areas I’ve set. 10/10 highly recommend
