Recall – Huntaway Venison Vital Bites Dog Treats 85g, dated Thursday 2 July 2026

Petdirect is voluntarily recalling one batch of Huntaway Venison Vital Bites Dog Treats (85g).

Affected product

The batch number and Best Before date are printed on the back of the pack.

Reason for the recall

Some packs from this batch have a manufacturing defect in the top seam. If the zip lock is open, the pack may not be properly sealed, which can affect the freshness of the treats inside.

This is a freshness issue only. It is not a safety or contamination recall, and there are no known health risks associated with this defect.

Do not use the affected product

If you have purchased this product from the affected batch, check the top seam of the pack. If the seam is torn or the pack cannot be sealed properly, stop using the product.

Disposal

You can dispose of the affected product in your general household waste bin. You do not need to return it to receive a refund.

Symptoms to look out for

As this is a freshness issue and not a safety or contamination recall, there are no specific symptoms to watch for. If you have any concerns about your pet after feeding this product, contact your veterinarian.
