Price Match Promise

At Petdirect, we believe pet parents should always get the best value. That’s why we offer a Price Match Guarantee on eligible products. If you find the same product at a lower price from another New Zealand retailer, let us know — we’re happy to help.

What is the Petdirect Price Match Promise?

If you find an identical product for a lower price on another New Zealand website or in-store retailer, we’ll match it.

To qualify, the product must be:

  • The exact same product — including brand, model, size, volume, weight, flavour, variant and packaging

  • Currently available at both Petdirect and the competitor at the time of your request

  • Offered by a retailer that is:

    • Located in New Zealand

    • A registered New Zealand business

    • Selling the product in New Zealand dollars

What types of retailers do we price match?

We price match New Zealand-based online or in-store retailers.

The retailer must be:

  • A registered New Zealand business

  • Operating a physical store or website in New Zealand

  • Selling products in New Zealand dollars

What products are not eligible?

We do not offer price matching on:

  • Auction or marketplace websites (including Trade Me, GrabOne, eBay or similar)

  • Clearance, end-of-line, ex-demo, refurbished, second-hand, or used stock

  • Limited quantity or time-based promotions (such as flash sales)

  • Pricing errors or misprints

  • International retailers or websites that are not based in New Zealand

  • Products not identical in brand, model, packaging, etc.

  • Products not currently available both at Petdirect and the competing retailer

How do I request a price match?

To request a price match, please contact our friendly Customer Service team with:

  • A link to the competitor’s product listing

  • The exact product name and details

We’ll review your request and confirm whether it meets our Price Match Promise criteria.

What happens after my request is approved?

If your price match request is approved:

  • A store credit will be added to your Petdirect account for the difference in price

  • The credit will automatically deduct from your total at checkout

You’ll just need to make sure you’re logged into your account when placing your order.

Important things to know

  • We can only process one price match per item, per customer

  • Price match offers cannot be combined with other promotions or discount codes

  • Shipping charges are not included in price match comparisons

Best Price Guarantee:

Should any of your Autodeliver products be on price promotion (for non Autodeliver sale) at the time that your Autodeliver order is processed, you will pay the best (lowest) price on either:

  • your repeat Autodeliver price, or

  • the non Autodeliver promotion price (excluding any Multibuy Promotion).
