Key Benefits:

  • Immune system support. Growth is an essential stage in your dog’s life: it is the time of big changes, discoveries and new encounters. During this key period, the puppy’s immune system develops gradually. This diet helps support your puppy’s natural defences.
  • Healthy skin & coat. This formula helps support the skin’s “barrier” role (exclusive complex) and maintain skin and coat health (EPA & DHA). Enriched with borage oil.
  • Digestive health. Combination of nutrients with high quality protein (L.I.P.*) and prebiotics (FOS) to support digestive health and balance of intestinal flora, which contributes to good stool quality. *Protein selected for its very high digestibility.
  • Exclusive kibble design. The kibble’s shape, size, texture and formula are adapted to the Golden Retriever puppy.

Breed Specific Formulas
Every dog is unique. From the small, flat-faced Pug to the obesity-prone Labrador Retriever, ROYAL CANIN® Breed Health Nutrition is tailor-made to address the unique needs of pure breed dogs. These breed specific formulas benefit from the latest ROYAL CANIN® research on the selection of the best protein sources, unique nutrients and tailor-made kibbles.

Formulated for Golden Retrievers

ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult Dry Dog Food is designed exclusively for pure breed Golden Retrievers over 15-months of age.

Healthy skin & coat: Food plays an important part in maintaining skin and coat health. ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult Dry Dog Food helps support the skin's role as a barrier with a tailored nutrient profile, and helps maintain skin and coat health with added EPA and DHA.

Healthy cardiac function: Golden Retrievers are prone to cardiac sensitivities. This formula in enriched with specific nutrients including Taurine, EPA and DHA to help support healthy cardiac function.

Ideal weight: Excess weight gain can affect the health of Golden Retrievers, so an appropriately balanced food is necessary for their health. ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult Dry Dog Food helps maintain an ideal weight thanks to an adapted calorie content.

Exclusive Kibble: Golden Retrievers have a straight muzzle and teeth that meet in a scissors bite. The kibble size, shape and texture in ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult Dry Dog Food is designed specifically for this breed and encourages them to chew.

Why Pure Breed Dogs Need Tailored Nutrition
From their personalities to their distinctive physiologies, pure breed dogs have unique characteristics that make them sought-after and beloved companions. When choosing a diet for your pet, it's important to keep in mind the unique characteristics of their breed including:

Face and Jaw: All dogs fall into two basic jaw types: Brachycephalic or Mesocephalic. Breeds with short, broad muzzles (like Bulldogs) are examples of a brachycephalic jaw. Breeds with a longer muzzle (like Labrador Retrievers) are examples of mesocephalic breeds. The jaw type, and even biting patterns can affect how a breed picks up kibble. All ROYAL CANIN® breed diets feature a tailor-made kibble shape to meet their unique needs.

Skin Types: The skin's most important function is to serve as a barrier of protection - but not all breeds have the same skin type. From wrinkled and folded (which traps heat and moisture) to sensitive or water resistant, precise levels of key nutrients are included in ROYAL CANIN® breed diets to help support their unique skin health needs.

Distinctive Coats: There's more to a coat than meets the eye. From the colour and texture to undercoats, each pure breed dog has a unique coat with unique needs which are catered for with ROYAL CANIN® breed diets.

Good price, especially with auto deliver and quick delivery of the food. My puppy loves this food. And the bag is re-sealable, which some other brands are not. Just wish it came with a scooper!
