*1 cup = 114g (4 oz) Adjust feeding levels to your dog’s individual needs. Puppies, pregnant and nursing dogs may consume more than the recommended amounts per day. Keep fresh water available at all times.
Transition Guidelines: As with all new foods, gradually introduce Addiction over 7 days to prevent stomach upsets. Feed 25% Addiction and 75% of the old food for first 2 days and gradually increase proportion of Addiction over the next 5 days. By the 7th day you can be confident of feeding Addiction for the rest of your pets’ life. It is critical that Addiction is slowly introduced to your pet over the 7-day period. Not following these guidelines may result in your pet experiencing gastrointestinal discomfort or related symptoms.

"2½ year old American Bulldog "
Posted byCampbell Tobinon9th Sep 2024I've had my American Bulldog (Pluto) on Black Hawk pet food since he was a puppy. First on the large breed puppy biscuits and then onto the adult large breed original. Pluto would regularly have loose stool on the 3rd, 4th and subsequent movements. Now, Pluto has always eaten biscuits out of my hand regardless of whether he's hungry or not. He refused to eat any of the Addiction food when offered it by hand. Uh-oh! We got a fussy guy over here! Undeterred, I persevered with the recommended diet switch plan and although he doesn't eat all his biscuits straight away like he did with the Black Hawk, he does eat his bowlful over the course of the day. Due to the fact he's only ever eaten one brand in the past, I find it understandable that he's not sold on the Addiction right away. But to the main part, Pluto has no longer got loose stool, his condition hasn't changed and he's still got all the energy he would normally have. In summary, I'm very pleased with the quality of the food, and of course very happy with the results from switching foods. Please note that this is my dogs/my experience and you may have different needs and different results.

My huskies & Japanese Spitz thrive on this and I'll continue supporting this brand because of it's grain free and perfect protein & fat balance. Thanks! Disregard the 1 star review below!!!

Posted byAnna McCartyon2nd Oct 2023I really, really wanted this food to be good as it ticked so many of the boxes that I'm looking for in food for my dog, i.e: Made in NZ Grainfree Priced well Also thought the bigger size would be great too, however my dog (who has always been fussy t.b.f) seems to actively hate this food - he spat it out if I tried to hand feed it to him and now won't touch any other food in his bowl that it has touched. I'm sure it's a good food, just not for my doggo (and an expensive mistake on my behalf!)
