Tractive Dog XL GPS Tracker

I love Tractive, it's a great app and the tracker has improved over the years, the DogXL is robust but not too big to be comfortable, peace of mind for any dog owner.

Very good APP, always updated, I see my hunting dog to moving in the zone. Battery is long lasting. I need to charge every month if I use it on daily basis.

I bought my first tracker for my adult Husky when he was younger, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. He used to run away sometimes, and it even happened a few times after he started wearing the tracker. But I was no longer worried because I could always see where he was. The live tracking mode has always worked really well and accurately showed me where he was moving. We've had the tracker for a year now, and it still works perfectly. Last month, we got another Husky kid, and I ordered a new XL collar right away without hesitation. Now I can always see where both of my dogs are, which gives me so much peace of mind. I also really love the app! 10/5 stars!

I bought the product in March, and now it’s August and it has already stopped working, yet I’m not getting any response from the company. I have the Tractive XL and have always used it properly, but for the past month it hasn’t been charging or connecting to the network. I contacted support, and they keep sending me the same troubleshooting instructions, which of course don’t work. Customer service is non existent

I bought the Tractive DOG XL Adventure because I wanted a reliable tracker for my dog, particularly for the virtual fence and location tracking. Unfortunately, after seven months, I’m very disappointed with both the product and the customer service. The tracker itself is very large and intrusive, although it does feel sturdy. More importantly, the signal is very hit and miss which I previously raised with customer service who told me to reset it and then take the tracker to an open space. Surely it should just work! When the tracker does alert me that my dog has left the virtual fence, there can be a considerable delay, which defeats the purpose of having an alert system. It has also shown that my dog has entered my home when he actually hasn’t, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in its accuracy. It also seems to 'freeze' or similar and simply doesn't work so I have to reset it, I seem to be doing this quite frequently, again surely this is not right. The rubber clips supplied to attach the tracker to the collar are particularly poor quality. The tracker arrived with three clips and, in just seven months, I have already gone through two because they have snapped. I am now using the third and final clip. For a product specifically marketed as an Adventure” tracker, I would expect the accessories to be considerably more robust. Unfortunately, my experience with Tractive’s customer service has been just as disappointing. When I raised my complaint today, the first response I received was clearly an AI-generated response. Why are companies responding to customer complaints with AI rather than having an actual person properly consider the issue? I did eventually receive a response from a person (I assume), but they didn’t seem particularly interested in addressing my concerns and ultimately closed my ticket, leaving me feeling that I had simply been fobbed off. Overall, the product is just okay, but for the price of the tracker and the ongoing subscription, I expected much better. The poor-quality clips, unreliable alerts and disappointing customer service have left me questioning whether the subscription is worth continuing. At this point, I doubt I will renew the subscription next year. I would expect much better quality and customer support for the price.
