Start with a calm cat - Groom when your cat is relaxed, ideally in a quiet, well‑lit area. Use on a dry coat - The deshedder is designed for use on dry fur to help remove loose and shedding hair. Comb gently - Using light pressure, draw the deshedder through your cat’s coat in the direction of hair growth. Start at the head and work towards the tail. Work in small sections - Use short, slow strokes to effectively lift loose undercoat without pulling or discomfort. Avoid sensitive or matted areas - Do not use on matted, tangled, or damaged fur. Take extra care around sensitive areas such as the belly, face, and legs. Remove collected hair - Clear the collected hair from the tool regularly during grooming. Regular grooming - Use regularly to help reduce shedding and keep your cat’s coat healthy and well maintained.

    We have two long haired Birman cats who shed fur copiously especially in spring, and this product works brilliantly to remove excess fur and stop the fur from matting.
