I was excited to have the opportunity to try Hill's Prescription Diet j/d Joint Care Dry Dog Food for our dog. Unfortunately this dog food was not to our dog's liking. The first day he showed interest in sniffing a new variety of food, but did not eat anything. The second day he showed interest in looking at the food, but did not eat anything. I tried again the following week, but got the same result - he did not eat anything. Our dog has become very fussy in his senior years and seems to not like change or any dried foods. I am sorry we did not take any photo's of a bowl full of food and no dog in sight!
I have a 3 year old Finnish Lapphund who was diagnosed with hip and elbow dysplasia when he was a wee lad. He is also a fan of stealing his younger brother’s puppy food so he had gained a few extra kilos which wouldn’t be great for his joints. After moving over to this food, we have noticed an improvement in his movement and he has also dropt some weight. The food didn’t cause him any upsets during the transition over from his old food and he absolutely loves this kibble. I’m really impressed with the quality of the food and just how fast I noticed an improvement with him so I will definitely keep him on this and recommend to others who have puppers with similar issues to my boy.
Our dog really enjoyed the mobility dog food by Hills. She enjoyed a better range of movement and was more active. She’s 10 and needed something to ease her joints
I have a French Bulldog who was suffering from some joint issues - just some stiffness here and there. I put her on this product and she has been running around like a pup again.
I have a larger mixed breed dog that has suffered from some hip and back leg issues since we have adopted him. He would often limp after short walks or when walking up stairs, sometime to the point I would carry all 50kg of him to help. I had previously been using a different brand, that had also been working quite well but wanted to see if there was a better option. We fed our dog this food in conjunction with low impact exercising and some strengthening and he has shown quite the improvement. He no longer limps after walks and is more confident to jump on the couch or up in things as he trusts his legs and hips. He also enjoyed the flavour so much we could use this food to help train and treat him. Everything in conjunction has worked so well I would happily recommend this to other people whose dogs are suffering from joint related pain.
