My cats generally enjoy playing with the ball, but for very limited stints. However, the ball seems to have too much torque or too little grip, and spends most of its time spinning in place. The modes do not seem to effect this issue, neither does being on hard wood or carpet.
I have an almost 3 year-old Bengal and he absolutely loves this toy. I like that it charges pretty fast and that it has different modes and that it reacts when he touches it. It really does entertain him and keep him busy.
This keeps my cats entertained. Battery life is great and easy to use.
It's a definite improvement over our other roller ball toy, being small enough to not get stuck trying to get under the couch, the bell gets our cats' attention much faster, and the different modes keep things more interesting. It's also way more quiet being a soft ball instead of hearing our hard plastic one slamming against the wall all day. Downside though is the beeping. We thought it would be handy but it's at just the right frequency that we have a hard time figuring out where it's coming from. We also thought it would only trigger when the ball gets stuck, but it actually triggers every time the ball wants to go into sleep mode. This makes it a bit less functional at night when we're trying to sleep and want to distract the cats. Overall good product, could easily be a 5/5 with a bit of tweaking for the beeping.
