To ensure your pet enjoys the safest and most effective warmth, please follow these guidelines carefully before every use.
How to Heat Your Pad
Clean the Microwave: Ensure your microwave turntable is clean and can rotate freely. Any food residue on the plate can cause localized overheating and damage the pad shell.
Heat in Intervals: Place the internal HDPE disc (without the fabric cover) into the microwave. Heat for 3 minutes, then check the temperature. If more warmth is needed, continue heating in 30-second increments.
Shake Gently: After heating, carefully remove the pad and shake it gently to ensure the Phase Change Material is distributed evenly for uniform warmth.
Check the Temperature: Always test the pad against the back of your hand or your inner wrist before placing it in the fabric cover to ensure it is not too hot for your pet.
Insert into Cover: Once at the desired temperature, slip the pad into one of the provided lambswool covers and secure it before giving it to your pet.
Important Safety Tips
Do Not Overheat: Exceeding the recommended heating times can damage the internal components and the outer shell. Always monitor the pad while it is in the microwave.
Use the Cover: Never allow your pet to come into direct contact with the internal HDPE disc. Always use the provided faux lambswool covers to prevent thermal discomfort.
Allow to Cool Fully: Do not reheat the pad until it has completely cooled down to room temperature. Reheating a partially warm pad can lead to overheating.
