Puppies in particular face many new experiences that could unsettle them, including going to a new home, meeting new people and pets, vet visits and training classes. This calming collar can help them settle more quickly into their new routine, and support them during socialisation and learning periods, aiding their training.
Beaphar CaniComfort® uses pheromones which are clinically proven to promote reassurance in dogs, and reduce general anxiety caused by everyday stresses around the home.
The pheromone used in Beaphar CaniComfort® is a clinically proven, simple and effective solution to help calm, comfort and reassure dogs, and help reduce unwanted behaviour.
Pheromones are naturally produced chemical substances that are instantly recognisable between animals of the same species, triggering an instinctive behavioural response. So, cats can interpret cat pheromones, but won’t recognise or be affected by dog pheromones, and vice versa. This means if you have a cat and a dog that are both prone to nervousness or anxiety, you will need a Beaphar CatComfort ® and a CaniComfort ® product to help reassure both of your pets. Across the range we use three different pheromones, all of which are proven to promote feelings of reassurance and safety.
These pheromones all promote an instinctive calming response, helping your pet to feel relaxed and at ease. By using a synthetic copy of these pheromones in our products, we can mimic this calming effect, helping reassure pets during stressful situations and thus reducing problem behaviour.
Appeasing pheromones are naturally produced by the mother when she nurses her young. These pheromones promote feelings of safety and reassurance, and are a crucial part of the bonding process. In dogs, this pheromone is called the Dog Appeasing Pheromone (DAP). It is effective in calming dogs in a multitude of stressful situations.

Directions:
Once fitted, the collar works quickly and will start creating a calming effect around 15 minutes after application.
The collar will be effective for up to four weeks, meaning it is ideal for helping to keep your dog calm when out and about, and is especially useful when attending training classes, travelling or during socialisation.
The collar must be fitted at least 15 minutes before a potentially stressful situation.
Your dog’s body temperature will activate the collar, diffusing the pheromones into the air and creating a calming effect.
