Large dogs are different to smaller dogs. As they get older, they need a diet that is tailored to their size and specific needs because they have different nutritional requirements and can be susceptible to certain health sensitivities as they age.
For dogs over 8 years old, Royal Canin® Maxi Ageing 8+ is a nutritionally complete and balanced formula specially designed to meet your large dog’s particular needs and support them throughout their later adult years. Larger dogs, with their extended digestive transit time, are more susceptible to digestive sensitivities compared to smaller breeds. This kibble contains highly digestible proteins and a balanced supply of fibres to help support good digestive health.
Larger dogs typically weigh between 26 and 44kg and place the majority of their body weight on their joints. This formula is specially crafted with a combination of minerals and nutrients to help support healthy bones and joints in ageing dogs. Your ageing dog requires specific nutrients to help maintain their overall health. Crafted with a blend of essential vitamins and nutrients like EPA and DHA, this formula helps to support lifelong vitality. Considering the distinct jaw structure of your senior dog, our kibble’s unique size and shape mean it’s adapted to suit your ageing dog’s jaw and helps encourage them to chew their food properly. Our team of scientists create formulas tailored to your senior dog’s specific nutritional needs, using high-quality nutrients and keeping sustainability in mind.

Tried this for our 9 year old Great Dane, who is normally quite fussy - he LOVES it!
Decided to try our old Boy on a different biscuit. He loves this one and I quite like the softer texture and size of the biscuit. He happily woofs this down.
Purchased this to try for my 11 1/2 year old lab. We have purchased other dry food as well but he really likes this food. The kibble is a good size, not too small which is great. Rufus recommends this food.
Very impressed, this was the 2nd delivery and it arrived as scheduled and during lockdown
Loved by my 8 year old German shepherd. Keeps him in good condition
