Description:

ROYAL CANIN® Maine Coon Kitten food is specially formulated with all the nutritional needs of your kitten in mind. By introducing a nutritious diet from its early days, you're helping to support its long term health as it grows into adulthood. Although your kitten's digestive system is developing, it still remains immature. That's why your kitten requires a diet of high quality protein to support and maintain healthy digestion.

ROYAL CANIN® Maine Coon Kitten contains a highly digestible protein known as Low Indigestible Protein (or L.I.P), as well as prebiotics which help to support your kitten's intestinal flora. As your Maine Coon kitten grows, its natural defences continue to develop; the complex of antioxidants (such as vitamin E) in ROYAL CANIN® Maine Coon Kitten food helps in supporting your kitten's natural defences as they develop.

To cater to each cat's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Maine Coon Kitten is also available as wet food in delicious gravy. If you're considering mixed feeding, simply follow our feeding guidelines to ensure your cat gets an accurate amount of both wet and dry food for optimal benefit.

Breed Specific Formulas

Every cat is unique - especially pure breed cats. After years of research and partnering with a network of veterinarians and breeders, Royal Canin has developed a line of tailor-made formulas to suit the unique needs of pure breed cats.

Formulated for Maine Coons

ROYAL CANIN® Maine Coon Adult Dry Cat Food is designed for Maine Coon cats over 15-months of age.

Healthy heart: ROYAL CANIN® Maine Coon Adult Dry Cat Food contains nutrients Taurine, EPA and DHA, which helps to support cardiac health.

Bone & joint health: Maine Coons are the tallest and heaviest of pure breed cats. Their imposing stature can put a strain on joints. This formula is enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) to help maintain healthy bones and joints.

Healthy skin & coat: Maine Coons have a dense coat with a fine undercoat. This formula includes a combination of amino acids, vitamins and fatty acids (Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids) to help support skin and coat health.

Exclusive kibble Maine Coon

Exclusive Kibble: ROYAL CANIN® Maine Coon Adult Dry Cat Food features a king-size tailor-made kibble that's adapted to Maine Coons' unique, large squared-shaped jaw, encouraging them to chew and help support oral hygiene.

Why Pure Breed Cats Need Tailored Nutrition

When choosing a diet for your pet, keep in mind the unique characteristics of their breed, including:

Face and Jaw: Pure breed cats come in many different jaw shapes and sizes. Some breeds have broad jaws (like Ragdolls) while others have large, square-shaped jaws (like Maine Coons) or flat, short jaws (like Persians). The jaw type and even biting patterns can affect how a breed picks up kibble.

Body Types: Not all cat breeds have the same body type. Some have long and muscular physiques while others have imposing statures that can put strain on joints. Precise levels of key nutrients help support a breed's unique needs for their body type.

Distinctive Coats: There's more to a coat than meets the eye. From different hair lengths to undercoats, each pure breed cat has a unique coat with unique needs.

  • "Great dry food!"
    Posted byon28th Feb 2021

Really great dry food, my kitten absolutely loves being able to chew on it a bit as he’s started teething. Finishes the bowl within minutes of putting it down with no dramas. Would love to see this in a bigger (5kg & 10kg) size bag as Maine Coons eat more than your average size cat.
