Made with quality meat, healthy fats and oils, vitamins and minerals with NO artificial colours or flavours, our recipes are cooked in small batches for ultimate freshness & taste.

How Often Do I Need to Feed My Puppy?
Puppies experience rapid growth and development, which requires a lot of energy. During their first six months, it’s typical for puppies to be fed three to four times a day. This frequent feeding schedule supports their high energy needs for growth and play without overwhelming their small stomachs, which can’t handle large amounts of food at once.

As puppies grow, their stomach capacity increases, allowing for fewer, but larger meals. By the time they reach adulthood, they should be accustomed to the adult feeding schedule of two meals per day.

As a general guide puppies should be fed at least 3 meals per day at routine intervals. Speak with your vet for tailored information on what suits your puppy's individual needs.

  • For small breeds, it is safest to feed small meals between 4 to 6 times a day. Toy breeds in particular should be given small meals more frequently.
  • Medium sized breeds, like bulldogs and cattle dogs, should be given 3 meals a day.
  • However, the larger the dog breed, the more food they will need to keep them energised. Breeds like German Shepherds and Great Danes usually need to be fed 3 to 4 meals a day.

How to Switch to Hypro Premium
Dogs have delicate digestive systems, and a sudden alteration in their diet can lead to discomfort or even health issues. The process of changing your dog's food should be gradual and carefully managed to avoid gastrointestinal upset, such as vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation. Some dogs may be reluctant or even refuse to eat an unfamiliar food if it’s introduced too quickly, making the transition process even more critical.

Transitioning your dog to a new food should take place gradually over a period of 7-10 days.  Here’s a simple step-by-step process:

  • Day 1-2: 75% old food + 25% new food
  • Day 3-4: 50% old food + 50% new food
  • Day 5-6: 25% old food + 75% new food
  • Day 7: 100% new food

During this period, observe your dog for any signs of digestive upset or refusal to eat and adjust the pace of changing your dog's food accordingly. If issues persist, consult your veterinarian.

For dogs that suffer from food allergies, gastrointestinal issues or those that are prone to stomach upsets, the transition process can be extended to two weeks, to give their system more time to adjust.
