Description:
AFP Lambswool Microwave Heat Pad
Give your pet soothing, long_lasting warmth with the AFP Lambswool Microwave Heat Pad Ñ a safe, cordless way to keep pets comfortable through cold nights, during recovery, or whenever they need extra cosy support. Simply warm the pad in the microwave as directed, slip it into the soft lambswool cover, and place it in your petÕs bed. The pad delivers up to 10 hours of comfortable heat, gradually settling to a steady 49¡C after about three hours, providing a calm, even warmth that pets naturally relax into.
Instead of using grains or gels, this heat pad is powered by advanced Phase Change Material (PCM), which absorbs and releases heat slowly for steady, uniform warmth with no hot spots or sudden cooling. The durable HDPE shell is hygienic, odour_resistant, and easy to wipe clean, making it ideal for everyday use with pets.
Each pad includes two ultra_soft faux lambswool covers Ñ one Teddy Bear and one Cat Face design Ñ both removable and machine washable so you can keep your petÕs favourite snuggle spot fresh and inviting. Suitable for senior pets, puppies, kittens, nervous rescue animals, and small pets that lose heat quickly, itÕs a simple, reliable way to give them comfort all year round.

INSTRUCTION GUIDE Ð MICROWAVABLE PET HEAT PAD
Important Information
1. Read carefully before use.
2. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
Before You Start
¥ Microwave use only: For domestic microwave ovens up to 1500 watts (1.5 kW).
¥ Ensure grill, browning, combi, and convection functions (if available) are switched off.
¥ Check the microwave interior is clean, especially the turntable. Food and drink residue can cause uneven heating and overheating.
¥ Heat only one heat pad at a time.
Heating Time Chart (Full Power)
Set your microwave to full power and heat according to its rated wattage:
Microwave Power Heating Time
600Ð650watts - 7 minutes
700Ð750watts - 6 minutes
800Ð850watts - 5 minutes
900Ð1,000watts - 4 minutes
1,100Ð1,200watts - 3 minutes
1,200Ð1,300watts - 2 minutes
__ Do not exceed the stated heating times.
Heating Instructions
1. Place the heat pad on the microwave turntable.
2. Set to full power and heat for the time in the chart above.
3. If your microwave does not have a turntable:
¥ Heat for half of the recommended time,
¥ Turn (flip) the pad over,
¥ Heat for the remaining half.
¥ Turn the microwave off while flipping.
4. When the timer finishes, leave the pad in the microwave for an additional 1 minute. It will continue to warm and the temperature will stabilise even after the power is off.
5. Visually check that the pad has not overheated (see Safety).
6. Remove carefully using a cloth or oven glove. The surface may reach approximately 65_¡C / 149_¡F.
Positioning & Use
¥ Place the warmed pad under your petÕs bedding or beneath a loose blanket.
¥ Ensure your pet cannot touch the bare surface of the heat pad.
¥ Use good insulation underneath the pad to reduce downward heat loss and extend warmth.
__ Do not place an uncovered pad directly on your petÕs skin - this may cause burns.
__ Do not use with animals that are unconscious, anaesthetised, or otherwise unable to respond to heat.
Reheating
¥ Allow the heat pad to cool down completely before reheating.
Cleaning
¥ Wipe the pad with a damp cloth or a light disinfectant spray, then dry.
¥ Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
¥ Do not immerse in water.
¥ Covers are machine washable.
Safety
¥ Never exceed the heating times - overheating can damage the pad and may cause injury.
¥ Do not allow pets to bite or chew the heat pad.
¥ If the pad becomes misshapen, it has been overheated - do not use again.
¥ Any guarantee is void if the product is overheated or damaged.
¥ People unfamiliar with microwave operation should seek help from a competent person.
¥ Do not take risks.
¥ Children must not heat the product unsupervised.
¥ Do not heat in a conventional oven, on a stovetop, in an air fryer, or by any method other than a microwave.
About the Filling (PCM)
¥ The pad contains non_toxic Phase Change Material (PCM).
¥ When heated correctly, PCM remains predominantly solid at about 65_¡C / 149_¡F.
¥ If overheated, PCM will begin to liquefy. With serious overheating (e.g., 300Ð400% beyond the correct time), the casing may soften and melt, and PCM may leak. The product will not explode.
Example: If the correct time is 4 minutes for a 900Ð1,000_W microwave, a melt_down could occur after around 15 minutes of continuous heating.
If Overheating or Leakage Occurs
1. Switch off the microwave and wait at least 1 minute before opening the door.
2. Open the door with caution.
3. Do not touch the casing or any leaked PCM until completely cool (PCM will be dangerously hot).
4. When cool and solid, remove residue from hard surfaces using hot water or gently scrape with a plastic or wooden implement to avoid damage.
5. Do not reuse a product that is deformed or has leaked.
Product Life & Disposal
¥ Recommended replacement: every 3 years (record the purchase date).
¥ The product and its PCM are recyclable.
¥ Retain these instructions for future reference.
