Shipping and Delivery

What are shipping costs and timelines?

We currently deliver within New Zealand only and are not able to ship internationally. If you are overseas, you are welcome to have your order sent to a friend or family member in New Zealand who can then arrange shipping internationally to you.

Shipping is free on all orders over $79*

Orders under $79 will incur a standard shipping fee of $5.90.*

The following delivery timeframes are a guide only:

  • Next working day for all main centres
  • 2 business days for regional New Zealand
  • 3 business days for rural delivery

Shipping fees, including any applicable rural delivery charge, are calculated and applied at checkout. Free shipping will be applied automatically to eligible orders once they reach the minimum spend.

Oversized Item Shipping

Oversized items incur a shipping fee of $39.00. This fee applies to all orders containing an oversized item. Orders are delivered via Fliway with an estimated delivery time of 3–4 business days.

    Do I need to be there to sign for my delivery?

    Standard orders likely don't require a signature. You can leave special instructions for the delivery driver during the checkout process including where on the property you would like the order left.

    What is Evening Express delivery?

    Evening Express is a same-day delivery service available Monday to Friday in selected metro suburbs of Auckland and Christchurch. It's a great option for urgent weekday orders and includes an additional fee. To be eligible, your order must be placed before the daily cut-off time. Orders placed after the cut-off or on weekends will be delivered the next business day between 6pm and 9pm.

    Auckland Evening Express

    • Delivery fee: $15.95
    • Order cut-off time: 2:00pm, Monday to Friday
    • Delivery window: Between 6:00pm and 9:00pm on the same day
    • Availability: Selected Auckland metro suburbs

    Important: Someone must be home to receive the delivery. If no one is available, the order will be returned to the depot and delivered the next working day.

    Christchurch Evening Express

    • Delivery fee: $15.95

    Can I cancel or change my order?

    If you've placed an order and need to make a change, please contact our team as soon as possible. We'll do our best to help, but once your order has been submitted, changes or cancellations are not always possible.

    Once your order has left our warehouse, we are unable to make any changes, and any returns will be at your own cost.

    Is click and collect available at Petdirect?

    Click and collect is now available at our Petdirect store locations. Order online, pick up in store. We’ll email you as soon as your order is ready. You’ll have 7 days to collect and you’ll need to bring photo ID.

    How click and collect works:

    1. Shop online and add items to your cart.
    2. At checkout, choose click and collect and select your preferred store.
    3. Complete payment online.
    4. We’ll email you when your order is ready to collect. (Please wait for this email before heading in.)
    5. Bring photo ID and your order number to the store and collect from the team.

    What to bring on collection:

    • Photo ID (e.g., driver licence, passport) that matches the name on the order.
    • Order number from your ready-for-pickup email.

    If you need someone else to collect on your behalf, please contact us before they visit so we can note their name. They’ll need to bring their own photo ID and your order number.

    Collection window:

    • Your order will be held for 7 days from the time you receive the ready for pickup email.
    • Can’t make it in time? Contact us and we’ll do our best to help. Orders not collected within 7 days may be cancelled.

    Stock availability:

    • You can check stock online on each product page. If an item shows as in stock at your chosen store, it’s usually available for click and collect right away.
    • If something is out of stock, you can choose a different store, switch to delivery, or contact us for options.

    Returns and exchanges:

    • Click and collect orders follow our standard returns policy.
    • Please bring your order confirmation (digital is fine) when returning or exchanging in store.
