Suspended securely between the front and back seats, the Wander Hammock is a durable, waterproof barrier between your dog and any hope of automotive resale value.
There are eight attachment points, for a secure fit, and a centre zipper allows you to fold down half, for those times you have a human passenger back there. Openings allow for both seat belts and car seats. Meanwhile, it blocks your dog's access to the front seat, keeping everyone safer.
Spot clean or hand wash. Air dry.

We have a small Mitsubishi ASX SUV 4 door and hatch with leather seats. This cover fits well size-wise on the rear bench seat. The car has a standard length seat. We've owned big dogs for about 25 years (usually in pairs, mostly German shepherds) and had a few seat covers. At the moment we have a single, large, 5 yr old pet Labrador retriever. He's a spoiled house dog. Our dog gets daily bush and occasional beach walks and gets wet sometimes. This guy is less wet and muddy than past dogs (not a keen swimmer this one) but we still need seat protection from sand and dirt and wet paws. Hammock type covers are good for the front seat protection - dogs seem to love to shake off in the car— and to protect the back seat floors as well as the rear seats because they catch the dirt well. This was our first try at a Kurgo cover. We followed install instructions to the letter. If you've had a hammock cover before it's pretty similar to most. We also never wash covers, just shake or vacuum. For the same reason I wouldn’t wash a rain jacket. It will wreck it. This Kurgo cover was the shortest-lived cover we've had. The backing delaminated at the curve at the front and the material got a long tear at the back above the belt openings. Pet Direct replaced it for me and Kurgo came to the party with Pet Direct's advocacy. So now on this second (replacement) cover we have changed how we are using it. We are not using it as a hammock and we installed a 'canvas' Repco seat cover under it. The first cover slid too much on the leather seat and needed adjusted about every other ride when the front cord under the seat came off. It was a pain. The kurgo-wander-bench-seat-cover (sold here too) might be a better choice for leather seats than this cover. I haven't tried it though. That bench seat style cover (non hammock type) has a strap on the back and more fitted corners that this one does not have which should help keep it more in place. If I was getting another Kurgo it would be that one. But of course that will leave the back of your front seats and floor unprotected. To stop our replacement cover from sliding we added a full 'canvas' seat cover from Repco under the kurgo. We added a rope to the kurgo from corner grommet to grommet at the top and tied it around the back of the back seat. We also don't have the hammock put up at the front. We leave it draped over the seat edge to the floor. We don't bother with the under seat cord. No more sliding now! It's a relief not to have to keep fixing the back seat cover finally. This cover does not work well as a hammock for a large dog eg lab. The fabric and backing can't take the strain even if you faithfully follow the install instructions. I am betting this cover would be fine for a smaller, lighter dog. My guess is maybe up to the size of a springer spaniel. This cover would benefit from snaps at the end of the Velcro where the seat belts are nearest the doors because the Velcro itself will not stay closed if used as intended around the belts. I had snaps plus Velcro there on another brand's cover- they were great and never came undone. On this, our replacement Kurgo cover I am leaving the seatbelts behind the cover to avoid the gap (and sand trap) gaping Velcro will cause. This model cover would also benefit from a strap at the back like the Kurgo bench seat cover has to stop is sliding as much. I would also add flaps on both ends of the bench seat so sand rolls out the door instead of down the side of the seat edge at the door. For leather seats maybe try the other kurgo bench seat cover or another brand or try a few mods like tucking a canvas strip or a couple no slip rubber mats from Kmart on your seat under the Kurgo. Summery: If you have a smaller dog and cloth seats and want hammock style this should be fine. I wouldn't recommend this cover in hammock mode for a large dog, the material can't cope. If you have leather seats you'll need to prevent slippage somehow by adding something under the cover. In non hammock mode and non leather seats it's probably also fine even for a large dog. I am not convinced of the longevity of the material (woven with an applied backing) for our daily usage. But if your dog isn't driving once or more per day with you it might be fine. So if you'll like this cover depends on a lot of factors. Finally- Kurgo, why on earth include a bag with your seat cover? Adds cost for no good reason. We gave the bags that came with the covers away to a couple of preschoolers to use for their school reading books. If you must add a bag at least make it a useful one like a dog treat pouch. Personally we'll probably be making our next cover ourselves from heavy duty tarp which should come in at a bit less cost as well. Pet direct are an awesome company to deal with. When I had issues with this cover they cheerfully got it sorted for me. Their prices are great too. So you needn’t worry on that account.
This is the second I have purchased - love the tough fabric used and it lasts but I have given one less star as the clip connections are not very strong, break easily as one has already, now have a bag of sturdy metal rings to replace plastic holders.
