Vedafil is a human medication that a veterinarian may prescribe off-label to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in dogs and cats. It contains the active ingredient Sildenafil may be used in dogs and cats to address pulmonary arterial hypertension, which is high blood pressure in the blood vessels of the lungs. It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels in the lungs.
