A: During checkout, you will have the option to add a donation to your purchase. You can select a predefined amount. Your generosity makes a significant difference.
Q: Where does my money go?
A: All funds go directly to SPCA’s animal welfare programmes, veterinary care, rescue operations, and shelter support.
Q: How do I get a tax reciept?
A: All donations over $5 are tax deductible. Please email fundraising@spca.nz with details of your payment(s) to get your receipt.
Q: I can’t donate right now, how else can I help?

Donation Terms and Conditions
Petdirect is proud to support the SPCA, a registered charity under the Charities Act 2005 (registration number CC22705). Donations made via our website help fund the SPCA’s work in animal welfare, rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption throughout New Zealand.
Donations are entirely voluntary and are not required to complete a purchase. Customers may choose to add a donation during checkout by selecting one of the available preset amounts. All donations are collected securely at the point of sale and are forwarded in full to the SPCA on a regular basis.
Petdirect does not deduct any fees from customer donations. One hundred percent of the contribution made by the customer is passed directly to the SPCA to support their charitable work.
Donations of $5 or more may be eligible for a tax credit under New Zealand law. Customers wishing to obtain an official donation receipt should contact the SPCA directly by emailing fundraising@spca.nz and providing the relevant payment details.
If you believe a donation has been made in error, please contact us within 14 days of the transaction by emailing support@petdirect.co.nz. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and we will make every effort to resolve the matter appropriately.
Petdirect may revise these donation terms from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Any updates will be published on this page, and we recommend reviewing the terms periodically to stay informed.

^Mutt Butter Dog Treat Cookie Bucket Terms and Conditions
For each sale of the specially marked SPCA promotion Mutt Butter bucket sold, Petdirect will donate $2 to the SPCA. These donations will be forwarded to the SPCA following the completion of each calendar month.
Promotion is valid for a limited period, until stock of the specially marked Mutt Butter buckets is all sold out. Promotion does not apply to any other Mutt Butter products or any other products or promotions sold by Petdirect.
