Vamoosh is primarily designed for pet bedding, but it can be used on human bedding as long as it is 100% WHITE COTTON. Because high treatment temperatures are required in order for Vamoosh to work (85-95 degrees) this means that it is only suitable 100% white cotton human bedding; so you would need to assess whether your particular bedding could withstand those temperatures.
Pet hair is very strong, so Vamoosh will only work on the longest, hottest cycle (between 85-95 degrees) where the temperature of the water helps Vamoosh dissolve the hair.
Vamoosh’s formula works on both pet hair and human hair (both of which are notoriously very tough to dissolve) and so in order for the formula to work, Vamoosh requires a temperature wash of 85-95 °C. During our research, we found that whilst some washing machines may not have a 85-95 °C wash as a standard setting, there is normally a temperature control that can be adjusted to 85-95°C manually.
The impact on the environment was a high priority for us when developing the formula for Vamoosh, so we made sure that no harmful substances are released into the environment when using Vamoosh.
Yes, absolutely! Vamoosh works well on an empty cycle to remove hairs inside the washing machine and filter. But if you want to really deep clean your washing machine then why not try our Vamoosh Washing Machine Cleaner with its unique 6-in-1 deep cleaning action. This is the only washing machine cleaner that can also dissolve hair as well as everything else you want!
Vamoosh does not contain enzymes or other ingredients that can remain on the treated pet bedding and so does not cause any irritation.
No, it is Vamoosh’s policy not to test our products on animals. We do however use animals for the adorable pictures we post on social media. But we promise they get serious strokes and treats for their hard work.
Pet hair is very strong, so Vamoosh will only work on the longest, hottest cycle where the temperature of the water helps Vamoosh dissolve the hair.
It depends on their size, it is important not to overload the washing machine to give Vamoosh room to work; as a rough guide, we would recommend washing no more than 4 small blankets or towels in one wash or 1 large pet bed. For larger loads, we recommend using 2 sachets of Vamoosh per load.
Pour the contents of the Vamoosh sachet directly into the dispenser drawer of your washing machine, add your usual detergent and the pet bedding and run a longest / hottest cycle. For larger loads, we recommend using 2 sachets of Vamoosh per wash.
Pet bedding needs to be washed regularly (experts recommend washing it once a week) to remove bacteria and odours, but most pet owners find that the pet hairs remain in the washing machine and tumble dryer. Vamoosh’s double action formula dissolves pet hairs so they do not remain on the fabric or appliances while also removing bacteria and odours.
Vamoosh dissolves pet hairs from pet bedding in your washing machine meaning no hairs remain on the blanket, in the washing machine or tumble dryer. It also leaves the bedding hygienically clean.
Vamoosh contains active oxygen that breaks down the keratin proteins that make up pet hair, dissolving the hair so it is washed away.
It depends what your pet bedding is made from, however, most pet bedding is made from synthetic materials and is much tougher than you may think. Following our extensive testing, we found that synthetic pet bedding was undamaged at this temperature. (We don’t recommend using Vamoosh however on pet bedding made from silk, wool or leather). Also, any removable stuffing in the bedding should be taken out of the bedding before using Vamoosh and replaced after.
No. You will need to continue using your usual detergent. Vamoosh has been formulated for use alongside your detergent not to replace it.
