Royal Canin Vet Urinary S/O is formulated for the nutritional management of cats with lower urinary tract disease. Its urine acidifying properties and its low level of magnesium make it suitable for dissolving struvite crystals and reducing their recurrence.
Key Benefits:
- Idiopathic cystitis. Thanks to the high moisture content of wet food, urinary S/O feline increases urine dilution. Nearly 64 % of cases of FLUTD are idiopathic cystitis and wet diet is recommended in cases of recurrent cystitis.
- Struvite dissolution. Urinary S/O feline effectively dissolves struvite uroliths.
- Low RSS. Undersaturated urine creates a urinary environment unfavourable to the development and proliferation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.
- Urine dilution. Diluting urine decreases the urinary concentration of struvites and calcium oxalates. The larger urinary volume also helps ensure more frequent bladder emptying.
Ingredients:
Poultry by-products, pork by-products, powdercellulose, minerals, pork blood products, vital wheat gluten, starch mixture, fish oil, caramelised sugars, marigold extract (source of lutein). meat and animal derivatives, derivatives of vegetable origin, minerals, cereals, vegetable protein extracts, oils and fats, various sugars.
Urine acidifying substances: calcium sulphate (0.12%), DL-methionine (0.02%).

Posted byLesley Barlowon18th Jan 2021This obviously is a vet only food so my cat is having to eat it as opposed to wanting to eat it. he enjoys the sauce and to prevent him sucking up the sauce and leaving the meat- I have to chop the meat pieces into mince in the packet. I wish there was a chicken or fish based version, as Bluey is really a fish oriented boy, and its a struggle to get him to eat a good quantity of this one.
