Give your furry pal a safe way to get inside while keeping unwanted guests out with the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door.
Just like giving your pets their own house key, this flap door is smart enough to know who’s allowed in and who’s not. It works by picking up on the unique microchip or collar tag on your dog or cat, and only opens to let him in, while staying closed for all other animals. Simply program in your pets’ microchips with just one button―you can store up to 32 pets in the system―and install on any door, window or wall. Perfect for large cats and small dogs, it features multiple modes to control when your furry ones go in and out, including a curfew mode that locks or unlocks automatically at a set time. It’s compatible with all microchips and includes one RFID collar tag to use if your pal isn’t microchipped.

This cat door is the best option if you have trouble with other unwanted cats getting in to your house. Was easy to install in our wooden back door and after a few tries we were able to scan my cats microchip and he was good to come and go as he pleased.
This is perfect for Tinx who lives with Kirsty in a rest home. It fitted in the window with the adapter plate and works with ease. When it was first installed tinx keep playing with it going in and out for ages. The only thing we had a bit of problem with was getting it to register tinx microchip but we got there in the end by using the supplied tag. It is really good at keeping drafts out which was the main need as kirsty needs the window closed in winter. I really do recommend it for bigger or chunkier cats as it’s the perfect size. Tinx gives it the thumbs up ?
Purchased this door but had to wait over 4 months for white tunnel extenders to become available (issue 1). When finally installed, it took just one day before we watched as the one neighbours cat we were trying to stop getting inside, was able to pull the door towards it, to get around the scanning operation. Gutted to find out does not stop cats entering that are really determined or possibly have higher IQ’s. Therefore the door does not do what it says it is supposed to do - keep out other cats. Basically I have wasted a lot of money and time installing. Upon further research I have found a dual scan door, which scans both sides, which was how I thought this would work, but it doesn’t. Disappointed!
Quick delivery only grizzle is -it cost me arm & a leg from Glazier to have it fitted into toughened glass door, also understanding the modes & setting the door . My pets x2 cats & x2 toy dogs are still getting used to the new pet flap- so far not good but will persevere with treats. Bonus is - No more mice/ rats being bought inside by my x2 farm cats. Overall - Good sturdy design & happy with purchase.
Solidly made, and good size. Nervous cat will take a while to get used to it though.
