Description:

Suitable for dogs over 15 months old, ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult is specially formulated with all the nutritional needs of your adult dog in mind.

ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult contains omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA,  DHA, and borage oil. These nutrients all help to support a healthy skin barrier function which in turn contributes to the healthy appearance of your dog's coat. Thanks mainly to the combination of fatty acids and an enrichment of taurine, ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult also helps to support your dog's healthy cardiac function. ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult has an adapted calorie content – meaning it also helps to maintain your Golden Retriever's ideal weight.

What's more, the kibble in ROYAL CANIN® Golden Retriever Adult is tailor-made exclusively for the Golden Retriever. The shape and size of the kibble is specially adapted to suit the preferences of this particular breed of dog.

Why Pure Breed Dogs Need Tailored Nutrition
From their personalities to their distinctive physiologies, pure breed dogs have unique characteristics that make them sought-after and beloved companions. When choosing a diet for your pet, it's important to keep in mind the unique characteristics of their breed including:

Face and Jaw: All dogs fall into two basic jaw types: Brachycephalic or Mesocephalic. Breeds with short, broad muzzles (like Bulldogs) are examples of a brachycephalic jaw. Breeds with a longer muzzle (like Labrador Retrievers) are examples of mesocephalic breeds. The jaw type, and even biting patterns can affect how a breed picks up kibble. All ROYAL CANIN® breed diets feature a tailor-made kibble shape to meet their unique needs.

Skin Types: The skin's most important function is to serve as a barrier of protection - but not all breeds have the same skin type. From wrinkled and folded (which traps heat and moisture) to sensitive or water resistant, precise levels of key nutrients are included in ROYAL CANIN® breed diets to help support their unique skin health needs.

Distinctive Coats: There's more to a coat than meets the eye. From the colour and texture to undercoats, each pure breed dog has a unique coat with unique needs which are catered for with ROYAL CANIN® breed diets.

  • "Perfect Food for My Goldie"
    Posted byon10th Jul 2022

Its been almost a year and a half since we switched to Royal Canin Golden Retriever from Ekunaba. Our goldie loves this food and is excited for it with same intensity as day 1. We never find any left overs in the bowl ever. His skin and overall health have remained well and consistent. No stomach upsets or diarrhea ever with any batch. Pet direct have been really good with at door deliveries. Seldom we have had issues with delayed delivery or any such issues. Thank you Pet direct. Note: Follow the feeding guide properly, We ended up getting our dog overweight as we used approximation rather than actuals. But once we followed the guide, it was perfect.

My golden retriever LOVES this food. (And when he switched to it his poos firmed up and bit from being sloppy, which is a good thing).
